ENGINEERING

The volume of fluid is essential for the proper functioning of the machine, both in terms of its mechanical performance and its operating life. Use the diagrams below, along with the Coupling selection chart to complete the oil calculator below.

OIL VOLUME CALCULATION

To make your day easier, Power Master
developed a tool that calculates the approximate
volume of oil that should be used

Note: The values obtained using the tool above are indicative,
if it is necessary to refine the selection and obtain other parameters such as
limiting torque, temperature and starting time,
estará à disposição para auxiliá-los.

HYDRAULIC COUPLING SELECTION

To select the size of a Power Master, the following basic data is required: type of machine, rated power, rotation of the drive motor. With these information in hand and with the selection diagram, we can determine the size of the Hydraulic Coupling. Below is an example of how to specify our different models and sizes of Couplings:

EXAMPLE:
Pmotor = 250KW
Nmotor = 1800 rpm

For the example, the Hydraulic Coupling selected was: 562 PM

HYDRAULIC COUPLING VERSIONS

Engenharia Aplicada

BASIC
VERSION (PM)

Used in soft start applications, with low inertia and which require faster ramp up.

Engenharia Aplicada

WITH ENLARGED
CHAMBER (PMV)

Another component is incorporated, called delay chamber, which reduces the volume of oil in the working chamber before starting, providing reduced torque during starting and engine acceleration with reduced load.

Engenharia Aplicada

WITH ENLARGED
DELAY CHAMBER (PMVV)

Considering the same principle as the Simple Chamber, an enlarged delay chamber is used, further reducing the starting torque transmitted, allowing smoother and longer acceleration of the driven machine.

Engenharia Aplicada

WITH ENLARGED DELAY CHAMBER + ANNULAR CHAMBER (PMVVS)

This is an additional annular chamber, which allows the starting torque to be further reduced and the final start time to be extended.
